|BIBLE READING PLAN BEGINS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2010 - FOLLOW DIRECTIONS BELOW TO PARTICIPATE|
Welcome to a great opportunity! One of the most powerful catalysts to spiritual growth is our commitment to read and reflect on scripture. For the next 85 days we will be entering into a bible reading plan that will unite our church with a central focus of scripture. If you are like most people it can be difficult to know exactly what to read in the Bible daily. We want to remove this obstacle and ask you to commit to a bible reading plan that will outline scriptures every day for you to read and a process of reflection that will assist you in taking the words on the pages into your everyday life.
Are you prepared to make this commitment and enter into this life changing challenge? If the answer is yes, keep reading and follow a few simple steps of preparation.

2. ONLINE JOURNAL TOOL
Under the Bible_Read the Bible tab there will be 2 columns. One panel will have your daily reading and the other column will have a variety of other tools. One of those tools is an online journal. We want to encourage you to journal as you read through the daily scriptures in an effort to not just get through it but to get it through you!
Below we have outlined a simple process to follow when reading and journaling.
Step 1 Find the Bible reading for today’s date from the Daily Bible Reading Plan. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in your daily reading.
Step 2 Read the passage. As you are reading type our anything the Lord impresses on you to be applied to your life. When you read with an open heart He will guide you. [2 Timothy 3:16]
Step 3 When God has quickened your heart to one specific verse or theme record in your journal what God has just shown you using the following format.
Scripture . Write out the specific verse or key verses that quickened your heart.
Observe. Record what is going on, who is involved, what is happening, what is implied.
Apply. Record how you will be different today because of what you have just read.
Pray. Record a prayer that closes out your Bible reading time, thanking God, inviting Him into the rest of your day, praying for others.
Have fun with the Bible reading and expect God to show in the pages of the Bible to teach you about his character and direct your life.
